Millennials are now the largest segment of the home-buying population. That means that if you’re selling your home, it’s a good idea to know exactly what features can attract millennials and differentiate your home from others in your neighborhood. Michele Lerner, writing for the Philadelphia Inquirer, explains what appeals to millennial buyers, who usually range in age from mid-20s to late-30s. Raised on HGTV, this generation looks for a home that’s move-in ready, so, a home that does not need repairs or renovations will stand out. These digital-savvy buyers also value the conveniences of technology and look for smart appliances, thermostats, doorbells, and other app-connected conveniences. Another area of importance is the yard. Millennials enjoy outdoor spaces where they can entertain friends, or let Fido out for a romp.
