Pantone has announced that the 2018 Color of the Year is Ultra-Violet, a beautiful shade of purple.
Whether you love it or not, it’s interesting to know how a color earns this distinction. Apparently, it’s an honor bestowed after much philosophical thought. Here’s what Pantone had to say about their 2018 choice: “Complex and contemplative, Ultra Violet suggests the mysteries of the cosmos, the intrigue of what lies ahead, and the discoveries beyond where we are now.
