Home Sales Highest in 14 Years

While the pandemic has kept people at home, it has also encouraged people to sell their homes.  In 2020, sales of existing homes rose to the highest pace in 14 years, according to Martin Crutsinger writing for the Associated Press.

Sales have been boosted by Americans locked down by COVID-19, who have been forced to work at home and are seeking to move to larger homes.  Sales have also been boosted by record-low mortgage rates. Economists predict this trend will continue into 2021.  That’s good news if you’re planning to sell. The inventory of available homes remains low, which will help keep sale prices high.
