County Loans for First-Time Home Buyers

If you have not owned a home in the last three years, you could receive up to $10,000 for closing costs from Bucks, Chester, Delaware or Montgomery Counties to help you buy a home in one of those counties.
Eligibility depends on income and other factors, and the funds may be in the form of a low or no-interest loan. The loan may need to be repaid if the home is sold, or the loan could be forgiven if you stay in the home for a certain number of years. Key to all of the programs is a required counseling session to help buyers learn about credit, budgeting, saving, ownership tips and criteria for loan approval. If the challenge of saving for a down payment is holding you back from considering a home purchase, this program is definitely worth reviewing.
