In today’s market, sellers often have multiple offers. That’s why many potential buyers include a letter to the seller along with their offer. The idea is to tell the sellers something about yourself that might tug at their heartstrings and persuade them that you are the perfect person to be the home’s next owner. But, be careful!

For example, stay away from topics that might touch on religious celebrations you envision in the home, talking about pets, unintentionally criticizing a home’s décor, or tipping your hand regarding pricing negotiations. Read the article, then write away. Just be sure to run your letter by your real estate agent before giving it to the seller. Not sure what to say?
