Luxury homebuyers in the U.S. shelled out millions on mansions, penthouses and beach-side properties over the past year.
According to this article by Olivia Rockemon with Bloomberg News, a $240 million Manhattan penthouse, purchased by Citadel CEO Ken Griffin, is at the top of the list. It includes 16 bedrooms and 18.5 bathrooms and is located in a 118-unit tower with unobstructed views. Also on the list is the Holmby Hills Mansion, a 56,000-square-foot residence overlooking Los Angeles, with 14 bedrooms, 24 bathrooms, a bowling alley, pool, tennis court and entertainment center. Homes purchased by Amazon’s Jeff Bezos and Uber co-founder Garrett Camp are also on the list.
