If you like the layout of your kitchen, but hate the look of your old or outdated cabinets, you might be considering sprucing things up.
The two most common options for doing that are to reface or paint your cabinets. Both offer pros and cons, as explained by this article from Kitchen Infinity. With cabinet refacing, the front facing cabinet doors and all hardware are removed and replaced. You can choose to keep the same color you had before, or go with something entirely new. When switching to a new color, the color of the existing framework and cabinet sides will be changed to match, most commonly using a wood veneer. The other cabinet updating option is painting.
